7 Things Every User Should Know About:

If you are new to Motion Connected, welcome! Or, if you are joining us for another year, we welcome you back. We know that many of you have busy lives with lots on your plate, so to make participating in 2024 a breeze, here are 7 key things every user should know about.

1. 2024 Challenge Calendar

If your company participates in our challenge calendar, you’ll find eight new challenges with a variety of goals and themes to keep you moving and motivated throughout the year.

Not sure which challenges your company offers? Visit the Scorecard, where many programs will list the challenge information under "Activity Challenges."

2. Joining Challenges
Find an invite and sign-up link posted on the message board 2 weeks prior to the start of each challenge. Tap the sign-up link to join and visit the Challenges page to view the leaderboard.

3. Compatible Activity-Tracking Devices

Want to participate in activity challenges? You can link a Garmin, Fitbit, Apple Watch or any app that shares activity data with the Apple Health app (on iPhone) or the Google Fit app (on Android). Click here to find instructions.

4. The Dashboard

If you have a device linked, check the Dashboard often to ensure your data is syncing. Please note, there is a delay in data syncing from your device to Motion Connected. From Garmin and Fitbit devices, data may take up to 24 hours to reach our servers. If you use Apple Health or Google Fit to sync data, read on to point number five below.

5. A Note for Apple Health & Google Fit Users

Open the Motion Connected app regularly or at least once every 30 days to sync and avoid gaps in your data.  Data does not sync to your Motion Connected account automatically; opening the app is the trigger to sync data available in Apple Health or Google Fit (opening your Motion Connected account online will not trigger data to sync).

6. The Scorecard (if applicable)

Many programs have a Scorecard* which is the central hub for all your wellness program activities (you’ll have a Scorecard page in your account if this applies to your program).

*Please note: programs vary between organizations. Yours may not include a Scorecard.

7. Support

5 Surprising Benefits of Walking

It's no secret, we love our step challenges here at Motion Connected! You might be wondering, why is this such a big focus of the program? For one, step challenges are accessible to most and easy to track with a device, but ultimately they fit our mission to help you live a better, healthier life.

Even if you're not a runner or athlete, if you can take regular walks, you can reap some of the incredible benefits. Check out a few of the benefits you may not know about below:
