Mindfulness is not a technique, it’s a learned skill of being fully in the present moment. And just like learning to ride a bike, it takes some practice to find your balance. Here are a few resources to aid you in your journey.

Tips for incorporating mindfulness into a daily practice:

Start your day by setting an intention or writing a list of goals that you would like to accomplish that day.

Encourage the use of a phone drop.  Place phones in a basket or place out-of-site in a drawer during an exercise session, meal, or meeting.

End your day by taking a minute to be grateful.  List three things that you are grateful for.

Mindfulness and meditation apps:

Pause

Relaxing Meditation based on Tai Chi principles

Insight Timer

Guided meditations, music tracks, ambient sounds, and timer

Calm

Guided meditation sleep stories
